Adrian needs...

I saw this on another blog and thought it was cute.

First, go to Google. Type in your name, followed by the word "needs" and post the first 10 sentences that come up. Here are my top 10 "needs" according to Google:

1. Adrian needs glue.

2. Adrian needs counseling. Interesting....

3. Adrian needs your advice. Well, if I need counseling. It might as well be from you.

4. Adrian needs 2 step her game up. Says who?

5. Adrian needs a very special family who will be loving, caring and patient. 'Cause she's in counseling and working on her game.

6. Adrian needs the ball at least 30 times per game if you want to win. Trying to step up my game people!

7. Adrian needs, sorry, definitely needs to find a new look. Again, stepping up my game.

8. Adrian needs 2 duals for 2006-2007. Huh? Apparently this is a wrestling term.

9. Adrian needs to be able to manage her time effectively. Ya think?

10. Adrian needs to make sure she can take down all of her opponent's monsters before they cause too much damage. This must be why I'm in counseling.

Welcome!

Better late than never...Welcome to my tour!

BooMamaChristmasTour

Come on in!

This is the distressed window that hangs by my front door. I have put lights in the greenery before, but this year, I just didn't have the time.

This picture was painted by my sister-in-law, Alison. It sits by my front door as well. Can you tell I like snowmen?

This is Jackson's tree in his room. It is decorated with mini John Deere tractors and snowmen. It also has a mini snow globe with his name on it that Mrs. Linda gave him.

Just a few extra things that I have sitting out. That's my neice, Tillie, in the picture to the left. Isn't she adorable?!!

This is our tree. This year we had to put it in our bedroom. Jackson spends all of his time playing in the living room, particularly in the floor in front of the front-facing windows. So, we decided not to move his play space and put the tree elsewhere. I must admit, it's a little strange seeing it in there! (Can you see the deer on the wall? Ha!)

Well, that's all I have. Hope you enjoyed the tour!

True meaning of Christmas...

Advent Conspiracy

That's a Cow!!

Okay, I have to brag. Jackson said a sentence last night. We were reading his favorite book for about the fourth time. It's The Jolly Barnyard and it has pictures of all the farm animals. So, on this fourth read-through, I asked him "What's that?" and pointed to a picture of a cow. He, in his not-so-audible toddler talk, said "tat's a tow." I was thrilled. I even got him to say it again so that Clint could hear it. Hmmm, soon I won't be able to get him to hush!

Coston Christmas

Yesterday, we had the Coston Christmas. We had a good time hanging out with the fam, eating and playing with the kids. Jackson, of course, racked up on some toys and had a great time terrorizing his cousin Tillie.

More of Anna, just to make her happy

Just for Anna

Anna flogged me Saturday for not blogging this week. I tried to tell her that I had a pretty non-eventful week. That's a good thing in my world!!

So, this post is just for her. Hope you enjoy!!

O' Christmas Tree...

I hope that everyone had a great holiday weekend. We had a good, but busy, Thanksgiving visiting our families. Jackson was tuckered out by the end of the day. He's cutting molars and has a runny nose, so he was just not himself.

Instead of participating in the shopping frenzy on Friday, we went to get our Christmas tree. I love Christmas and my favorite part is picking out and decorating our tree. This year, instead of a pre-cut fir, we cut a pine. Of course, Clint knows exactly what kind a blah, blah. To me, it's a green tree that doesn't look like the ones I usually get. Hopefully, it won't be long before Jackson will pick out our tree and I won't have to make Clint follow me around forever until I decide on the absolute perfect one. Here's some pictures of our adventure, but I won't be posting a picture of the tree fully decorated until the 15th!

Canvasing the farm

I can only pick one?

Are you SURE?

Too late now!

I also thought I would update you on what my little stinker has to say: "tree" - He points at the Christmas tree; "uh-oh" - He even has perfect timing, like for instance when his daddy almost missed the turn on our road...ah, priceless; "tur" - Tractor, oh how he loves tractors; "tuk" - Truck, what he calls anything with wheels; "duck" - I hope this is self-explanatory; "bye-bye" - while waving backwards, but he will NOT say it on cue, EVER.

We also heard about a computer program for babies, toddlers, young children, etc. It's called Babysmash. You download it from the website and it turns your computer into a safe play area. It turns off the "bad" keys, so that Jackson can push all the buttons. Letters and shapes pop up when a key is pressed while the computer says the name.

Have a great week!

I will be participating in this fun idea on December 15th from BooMama's blog. I just thought I would go ahead and post the link so that fellow bloggers can participate.

Does this mean I'm addicted?

Okay, since I'm new to blogger world I need some help. As I browse other blogs, I noticed "themed" days: Wordless Wednesday, Sunday Shoutouts, etc. Some have giveaways (Where do they get stuff to give away?) and contests. Does anything go? Is it stealing to copy someone's idea or is it like participating in a group project? How do you make blogger friends and have people you don't even know following your blog? I have found blogs of people that I know from work, high school or college, but some I only know through association and then some not at all. I'm assuming it's cool to just "follow" someone's blog? Okay, I admit I'm have, ahem, a little OCD. I have to know and understand all about something. So, a dork I may be, but advice
anyone?

So I got sucked in...

I finally broke down.

Everyone has one. It's the cool thing to do.

It's called peer pressure (Misty) and I have been beaten. So, I'm starting a blog. I don't have any idea what it will be about, but I thought I could at least keep my family updated on Jackson, my one-year old son. Here goes!

Clint and I invited all our families and friends to my grandparent's house for Jackson's first birthday party last weekend. He had a blast and I don't know where to put all the gifts he received. I'm a little sad. I wish I could make him stay little forever! Here's some pics from the festivities.
